12th Welcome back.
review of syllabus and “How to win competitions.”

19th 20 Apiece.
An opportunity for you to show some of your favourite pictures, up to twenty per member. Bring them along on the night or email them to me prior to the 19th.
This is also hand in for the first image league competition. Up to four images per member, 1600x1200, SRGB, JPEG and numbered 1_title.jpeg. Upright or portrait format should be 1200 pixels high.
Images should be emailed to Alaisdair Arnold or hand your entry in on the night.

26th Neil McGregor, “Northern Nature”
It looks like Neil is a permanent fixture as the first speaker each year. However he never disappoints and I’m sure this will be another brilliant display of his nature photography.

10th First print competition,
up to three prints per member, maximum mount size 20”x16” subject open.

17th Mark Kirkland, “Scotland an Underwater Journey”
Mark is an award winning underwater photographer including the urban wildlife section of the prestigious International Wildlife Competition.
Underwater photography has come a long way since my day when were happy if our pictures were sharp and well exposed. Mark’s pictures are much more original and creative. A chance to enjoy the underwater world without getting wet.

24th Gordon Hendry - “Creating an Audio-Visual presentation”
Gordon has kindly agreed to show us how he puts together an Audio-Visual presentation with a few examples.

This is hand in for the second image league competition. Judge David Spinks.


31st Practical night “Still Life” There will be a few setups around the room so bring your camera a tripod if you have one and something to photograph.

28th Knockout competition
A fun night where we will show two pictures A then B whichever gets the most votes will go through to the next round the other. By process of elimination we will find a winner.

16th Campbell Skinner “Event Photography”
Campbell photographs a wide range of events from local sports to concerts. His pictures are regularly published and he has received many awards for his innovative photography.

23rd Third image league competition.
This is the Tom Moore competition the subject is Scottish scenes. Judge Jim Stevenson.

30th Third print league competition.

February

6th Ken Lindsey
Ken will take us through the process involved in gaining the MPAGB award. He will explain his choice of pictures for his panel, processing, printing and presenting the prints for assessment.

13th TBA

20th Annual battle with Milngavie and Bearsden at Bearsden.
Therefore there will be no meeting in the Hub.

27th Clive Watkins Photography by Design.
Also hand in for annual print competition.

March

5th TBA - Hand in for annual image competition.

12th Joe Gillhooly LRPS.
Joe has updated his talk although we have never actually got to the end of the talk he started two years ago. That’s because Joe is such an engaging speaker who encourages conversation during his presentation.
